For this lab we were able to estimate the elevation of the Omulgee River. Different groups were separated among the river doing different things. Two of the groups took the elevation measurements in the river itself
at two different points in the same area of the river. A string was attached to the pole and people would move the string up or down in regards to the elevation in the river. The third group was measuring the flow rate of the water on each side of the sandbar. A orange and stop watch were needed to see where the current was stronger.
